IBTS is currently recruiting for a Compliance/Regulatory Specialist to be a part of our Manufactured Housing Program. For over 40 years, IBTS has been the trusted contractor to assist the federal government in oversight of the manufactured housing industry. The Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for completing quality audits on federal regulations governing factory-built manufactured homes.  Audits will be conducted of housing manufacturers, as well as of state-level agencies participating in the program.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct quality audits of manufacturers and state level agencies for compliance with federal regulations.
  • Learn and master the federal regulations governing the manufactured housing industry.
  • Write reports based on audit findings for the government client.
  • Analyze records to verify compliance with regulations.
  • Act as a liaison with members of the industry on behalf of IBTS and the government client.
  • Travel for audits (up to 25%).
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels in the organization.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Legal, compliance, or regulatory knowledge.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • The ability to critically think and analyze.


  • A bachelor degree; 4-6 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • A Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor is ideal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word; Excel a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in a legal, regulatory, or compliance capacity.
