Responsibilities

The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) has immediate opportunities for experienced building inspectors, to work on some challenging and professionally-rewarding projects throughout Tulsa Area and Oklahoma City Area.  

  • Provide good customer service
  • Ability to positively interact with the other team members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and our customers
  • Experience in the application of building codes
  • Ability to interpret codes and apply in the field
  • Ability to identify and present code compliant solutions to a variety of construction projects
  • Ability to Review plans for code compliance

Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years of experience in building code and/or trade inspections
  • Minimum High School or GED required
  • Good Driving Record
  • You must possess at least three of the following ICC Certifications:
    • Commercial Building Inspector
    • Commercial Plumbing Inspector
    • Commercial Electrical Inspector
    • Commercial Mechanical Inspector
  • Professional Engineers or Architects
  •  Willingness to be assigned to client jurisdictions work location.
  •  Travel maybe required within the state of Oklahoma.
  • Certified Building Officials, Combination Inspectors, or Master Code Professionals

Must secure Oklahoma State License within a week of employment.
