Responsibilities

The Institute for Building Technology and Safety is currently seeking a Data and Office Administrator (Full-Time, temporary) who is customer service oriented, career-minded and able to work in a fast paced production environment.  The position available involves data management, customer service and basic accounting. 

  • Maintaining records and databases
  • Running database searches, performing quality assurance and reviewing images
  • Answer call center calls, process requests, and work with customers to resolve issues and answer queries
  • Manage office supplies; maintain supplies and publications inventories and place orders
  • Organize incoming and outgoing mail
  • Preparing reports
  • Handling time-sensitive process and sensitive material
  • Maintaining the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Demonstrating flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
  • Taking direction from supervisor
  • Participating in cross-training
  • Performing other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

College education or 2 years’ experience in office administration, document retrieval, data collection, scanning is required.

 

  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of computers and computer peripheral devices
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent customer focus, attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic accounting and budgeting knowledge
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Attention to detail
  • Accuracy and thoroughness (technically and  ethically correct)
  • Flexibility in managing day-to-day workload with ability to handle unexpected assignments
