    We are seeking Construction Managers who are available to travel to disaster-impacted locations to support disaster relief efforts. We are not first responders, but when disasters strike, our team travels to the disaster area to provide needed construction management and related services.


    We are looking for individuals who are willing, able, and readily available to be part of the on-call team and who can report for work and travel on short notice to disaster sites and remain engaged in the recovery efforts for varying periods of time.  Longer assignments may include rotations for travel back and forth between their home and the disaster sites, or may require relocation.




    Construction Managers will provide construction management services for personnel engaged in planning, design, and/or construction functions. They will perform oversight and control of personnel producing cost estimates, project schedules, data input and manipulation, project designs, quality assurance of construction projects, and other technical aspects of the direct housing mission.  


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of full-time professional experience in field of study
    • Demonstrated knowledge of modern construction practices and experience managing construction projects for public infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings and utilities
    • Experience with modern construction practice, facility assessments, construction inspection, project scope development and cost estimating
    • Working knowledge of International Building Code, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other governmental regulatory compliance
    • Knowledge and understanding of FEMA Individual Assistance Program law, regulation and policy is preferred


    • Excellent verbal communication and writing skill
    • Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel)
    • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment and under stressful conditions
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Must be able to pass a background investigation


    Candidates selected for these positions will be required to submit to a background screening which may include, but is not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, driving record check, criminal background check, and an investigative consumer report. These screenings will be conducted by IBTS’ background vendor of choice and will be conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law.
